From Nancy, Xavier Nicolas already belonged to the world of the art's lovers before transforming his passion into a business. Growing up in a family of aesthetes, which had Victor Prouvé as a guest and collected furnitures, paintings, sculptures from Nancy's School; Xavier will be very early sensitized to all kind of artistic expressions. He willcultivate his passion and his attraction for the discovery of beautiful things by meeting many collectors and artists during his professional and family trips.
A non typical path : After marketing and internnational trade studies in the United States of America, Xavier Nicolas begins his career as a audiovisual advisor in north african countries.
Globe-trotter, Xavier Nicolas will then carry out diplomatic and operational missions for the International Red Cross in various countries of Eastern and Oriental Europe, Middle East and Africa.
He will then discovered that everything can be beautiful, everything can be Art: people, cultures, colors, materials, knowledge..
Back to France, his passion becomes again essential. He briefly settles as an antique dealer at the Marché Paul Bert and finally opens his first gallery of contemporary art, 12, rue des Coutures Saint Gervais .
